In 2001, the City of Fremont, Dayton Township, and Sheridan Charter Township joined together to develop and adopt the Fremont Area Recreation Master Plan. This plan has helped the local governments provide recreational opportunities for the residents of the Fremont Community in the most efficient, effective and fiscally responsible manner. Recently, the three local governments as well as Sherman Township began the process of updating the Recreation Plan. The updated plan will provide the framework under which the four local governments will develop parks, build new facilities and provide recreation programming for the next five years.
